Charlotte and Ray Garrido have offered the use of some land for the Master Gardeners to use to grow vegetables this summer.  The land has lain fallow for many years, and was grown over in blackberries, orchard grass, and many other opportunistic weeds.  The garden area has been cleared, soil will be  improved, and edibles will be sown by South Kitsap Master Gardeners.  All the produce from the garden will be donated to local food banks and, if the bounty is sufficient, to local soup kitchens.  The garden area is quite large, sunny, fairly level, and miraculously the soil is lovely – a sandy loam.  The garden is located on Olalla Valley Road at 10671 Olalla Vly Rd Olalla, WA 98359 - Click here for driving directions.

Please contact either Mary Cathern or Ray before visiting.

Please be aware that this garden is being tended by Master Gardeners only, at this time. At least two people must be working together at all times. If you want to work at a time different than the ones listed on the Work Schedule page, please contact Ray to see if he can work with you. For all other questions, please contact Mary-Cathern Edwards at her email or at 360 871-3006.

We need donations of tools, supplies or $ to support the garden.
